Patrick L. Jones is a Trustee of the Board of Investments for the Los Angeles County Employees Retirement Association (LACERA), one of the largest public pension funds in the United States, with more than $95 billion in assets. Appointed in 2021, he is serving his second term on the Board. He previously served as Chairman and Vice Chairman and currently chairs the Real Estate and Real Assets Committee.
Mr. Jones is the Founder and CEO of VOCATIO, an ideas platform and advisory initiative focused on helping young people discover their talents, develop their potential, and navigate the transition from education to meaningful work. His work examines how talent development, institutional innovation, and cross‑sector collaboration can expand pathways into the modern workforce.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Jones held consulting and leadership roles with PricewaterhouseCoopers, Diamond Technology Partners, and Siebel Systems, advising organizations on technology strategy and organizational transformation. He has also served in a range of civic and public policy roles, including appointments to state commissions and national economic forums focused on economic development, education, and opportunity.
Most recently, Mr. Jones served as a faculty member and senior co‑op coordinator at Northeastern University, advising undergraduate students on career strategy and professional development. He is currently writing a book on how young people discover purpose and launch meaningful careers in a rapidly changing economy.
Mr. Jones earned his MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business and his BA in Economics from Miami University. He is married and has one daughter. In his spare time, he enjoys the beach, basketball, golf, and bike riding.
