2026 BOI Offsite—Building a Framework for the Future: Elevating Strategic Resilience
On September 15 and 16, LACERA hosted its annual Board of Investments (BOI) Offsite meeting in Long Beach, California. The two-day event provided an opportunity for LACERA staff and its Board to review the current BOI strategic framework to identify potential refinements. It also offered a platform to explore new ideas and technology affecting the investment world, with input from some of the leading minds in the industry.
Among the many insightful sessions were a pair of expert-led panel discussions covering relevant investment topics, including the potential roles and risks of investing in new and growing businesses and the investment implications of artificial intelligence. In addition to these panel discussions, LACERA Deputy CIO Jude Pérez hosted a fireside chat with State Street Investment Management CEO Yie-Hsin Hung to explore strategies to build a more resilient investment framework at LACERA.
