Kaiser Permanente Strike Activity Has Ended

The work stoppage by unions affiliated with the Alliance of Health Care Unions has concluded. Kaiser Permanente confirmed that the strike, which affected facilities in California, Hawaii, and the Northwest, ended on October 19, 2025. All Kaiser facilities have resumed normal operations.
Kaiser and the Alliance will resume bargaining on October 22–23, with discussions expected to focus on economic issues such as wages. While the Alliance has also raised staffing concerns, wages remain the central issue in negotiations.
Kaiser reports that it remains committed to reaching an agreement that supports strong wage increases, enhanced medical and retiree benefits, and affordable, high-quality care.
