LACERA Welcomes New Assistant Executive Officer Jessica Baxter
On May 4, Jessica Baxter joined the LACERA team as Assistant Executive Officer. She directs LACERA’s business services divisions, including Administrative Services, Financial and Accounting Services, Human Resources, and Systems.
Ms. Baxter has over 30 years of progressive public-sector leadership experience, with broad expertise in budget oversight, administrative services, operational and human capital management, and procurement. Her previous positions include Chief Human Capital Officer for the United States Marshals Service and executive and leadership positions at the Department of Homeland Security, Office of the Inspector General, NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center, and Department of the Army. As a federal civilian executive, she was a member of the Senior Executive Service (SES). Ms. Baxter holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Baltimore.
