Prepare for March Madness
Every year, LACERA experiences an uptick in retirement applications leading up to March, which we aptly refer to as “March Madness.” January through March are popular retirement months because members who retire on or before March 31 are eligible for the April 1 cost-of-living adjustment (COLA).
We understand that applying for retirement is a major life step and that members may have questions and concerns during the process. To ensure that our members receive proper assistance during this busy period, our Member Service Center will offer virtual appointments available from 7:10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. on the following Saturdays:
- January 10, 24, 31
- February 7, 21, 28
- March 7, 14, 21
