Assistant Data Systems Analyst, LACERA
The Assistant Data Systems Analyst, LACERA is an entry-level position located in the Systems Division. Under close supervision and technical direction from higher-level data systems staff, the position assists in analyzing, designing, documenting, testing, and implementing automated business processes and system enhancements that support LACERA's operations.
Incumbents in these positions assist in analyzing, designing, documenting, testing, and implementing automated business processes and system enhancements that support LACERA’s operations. The position works with internal and external stakeholders to document business requirements, analyze workflows, identify opportunities for process improvement, and support the automation of business processes. Responsibilities include developing flowcharts and process diagrams, assisting with system testing and validation, troubleshooting system issues, monitoring system performance, and preparing reports, dashboards, charts, or other visual tools to summarize data and communicate findings. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of information systems, software applications, workflow analysis, business process improvement, project management methodologies, and data visualization or reporting tools. The position requires analytical thinking, attention to detail, effective communication, and the ability to collaborate with business users, technical staff, and project stakeholders to support system integration, data accuracy, and operational efficiency.
